The Racingline Software and PDM Bundle is purpose-built for the EA888.4 engine fitted with the Garrett turbocharger, as found in the VW Tiguan 2.0TSI 4Motion. It’s a straightforward way to unlock significantly more power and torque from your Tiguan while preserving the factory reliability you rely on every day.

The bundle includes Racingline’s PDM (Portable Device Manager) tool, allowing you to flash the new performance software onto your vehicle from the comfort of your own driveway. No workshop visit required.

What the Software Delivers

Racingline’s calibration team have carefully reworked the engine’s ECU mapping, adjusting boost pressure, ignition timing, fuelling and throttle response. The result is a noticeably stronger, more responsive Tiguan, with improved mid-range pull and a more eager top end. Power delivery remains smooth and progressive, much like the factory tune, just with considerably more performance on tap.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and power supply
• A secure wired internet connection (or a very stable high-speed Wi-Fi connection)
• A battery charger/maintainer capable of at least 20A (CTEK recommended)
• Access to mains electricity for the laptop and battery charger

Important Considerations

DSG-equipped vehicles: If your Tiguan is fitted with the DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox), we strongly recommend the combined ECU + TCU software bundle. The TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software ensures the gearbox can handle the additional torque smoothly and is required to run the high-torque Stage 1 tune.

Fuel grade: Headline performance figures are based on 99RON fuel. A 95RON map is available where 99RON isn’t accessible, though peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not use 95RON fuel if your vehicle is mapped for 99RON.

An Upgrade Path Built In

Once you’ve purchased Racingline software, upgrades from Stage 1 to Stage 1+ and Stage 2 are free of charge. To progress beyond Stage 1, supporting hardware is required, including:

• Racingline Performance Air Intake and Turbo Inlet Elbow
• Performance Intercooler
• Performance Downpipe

Built-In Theft Protection

The PDM tool also acts as a powerful anti-theft device. With a few taps you can flash an immobilisation map to the ECU, rendering the engine completely inoperable until you return and re-flash your stock or performance map. Unlike traditional immobilisers, there is genuinely no way to start the engine, giving you real peace of mind in higher-risk parking situations or when travelling.
